Router Blues
So I'm still here in Colorado. Trip hasn't been so bad afterall. We went up to the mountains Sunday-Tuesday and I took snowboarding lessons, which were awesome despite the fact that my entire body is in extreme pain. I think I found a sport I really love, though. So *thumbs up* o.O;
Anyways... I'm trying to set my uncle up with wireless internet and I'm having major problems. We got a Linksys junk box and it sends off oodles of signal, but it can't seem to undertand that it's connected to the internet. Goody. So I've tried everything I can and I suggested getting some dide from the Geek Squad at Best Buy to install it. It's another worthless piece of Microsoft shit and I'd personally just get an Apple AirPort because they do something that is ludicris in the PC world - they work *GASP* the blasphemy, I know. So If I were to do that I'd hook him up with a Belkin wireless PCI card for his desktop and the AirPort. I actually had little trouble hooking my own desktop to my AirPort, only took about an hour of clicking around then I got it to work.
If only PCs worked more like Apples... Maybe that will happen with Microfuck's upcomming Windows Vista..... but I highly doubt it. They will never fix the problems with their fucking OS that have been lingering since '92. GG Microsoft. Go impale yourselves on some sharp rocks because you're only worth is as vulture food.
Maybe their CEO will spontaneously combust and they'll get someone like Steve Jobs. The world can only hope for a brighter future.
