Sufjan Stevens is one of the only contemporary musicians who can write new Christmas songs that are actually any good, IMO. I think I'm going to ask for his newest Christmas CD compilation for Christmas.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Mine's been blessedly busy and mostly drama free. Whew. I'll take it. We sang some lovely hymns in church, too-- ones we don't usually get to sing (like In the Bleak Midwinter, which I adore).
