Roadside find

A tradition has developed here over the past few years. Want to get rid of something? Put it at the end of your driveway. Sometimes there's a sign that says free, but it's understood. I've cleared out quite a few things this way, especially good for larger items that are difficult to transport to thrift shops for donation. Saves dump fees too. Today, I was driving along, minding my own business when I came across two leaded glass windows, haven't measured them yet they are still in the car, but they are about 4 feet long, by 18-24 inches wide, in wood frames. I may paint the frames and then hang them in front of the two windows that are on the northern end of the house. One is in the kitchen - not sure if that will work, but it will look great on the other window that is above the stairwell. Just the thing to bring some interest to that unadorned wall. Online sites show these being sold for about $100 each.

Last week a drop leaf maple table was on my route- it's in the garage waiting for me to decide where to put it.
