slaps self

We have a big snow storm coming. My head is buzzing with migraine type sensations.

Work has yet to figure out that if 4 nurses resign, they need to replace them. I have been asked to work my days off twice this week. They may figure out that forcing us to do pointless computer charting that no one but the supervisors look at is not a good use of a scare resource and in fact may interfere with providing good care. We don't need to ask 10 questions to know that someone needs help getting dressed etc. One question - do you need help getting washed, dressed etc - for all, then a more detailed list for those that answer yes would be a more appropriate use of my time. Ditto the 6 questions on various riffs of - Do you know how to take care of your health, could also be condensed and made more clear. Right now I need to paraphrase the questions as they are so badly written that the poor dears can't remember the beginning of the question when I reach the end.

"Can you recognise change in your body that are related to your illness or health condition?"
"Do you know and understand what to do (things or activities)to control these changes in your body?"
"Are you able to carry out the treatments or activities that you have been taught to manage these changes in your body?"

So you can understand why only 2 out of 20 nurses bothered to go to the online "Portal" to read the answers to these questions. I lost the link after trying once and finding a blank page. So far I haven't knocked anyone off by not knowing what they responded.

Decided to invite people I owe a meal to over for Saturday. Now I have major motivation to clean house. Floors are filthy. Most of the rest is just pick up and dust. But kitchen needs a good clean.
