I say to myself, "jee- that's a great place to put x." Please stop me. I now can't find either camera cable, re-charger for battery back-up/power pack and part of a set of cutlery. There are also two computer software disks in hiding.
I've been busy. Front garden bed by river is getting an overhaul. Due to bindweed which has proven to be unwilling to move with regular attempts at weeding, (what a bouncer- I haven't weeded that bed in 3 years) I am taking the drastic measure of digging all the plants out. Will then pull out weeds, lay down 4 or 6 layers of newspaper, a layer of black garden weed barrier. Then the hostas and a few other select plants will be planted.
Wood chips will be placed. This means a trip to the dump to get free wood chips. There is a small mountain due to the storm. People have been taking huge loads of brush to the dump in the aftermath of the storm. Hydro is busy replacing hundreds of broken poles, in some places, they are having to air lift them in by chopper as the roads are too narrow for the big trucks. The sound of the loon has been drowned by the whine of chainsaws since the storm.
