30 Day Good Thing Meme- Home Picspam
I will try to post every day, here goes. I came home from work absolutely bagged- three admits and four other patients, including one quite challenging situation both re patient and the total inability of doctors to communicate, and unerring skill of case managers to entirely miss the point.
Well, my good thing today is that my dear brother started my window reno today.
Here are some before pics. Full disclosure- I spent a few hours tidying before taking these. Bram managed to sneak into two pics.
Please tell me if the LJ cut worked. I have it turned off when I view as it makes it easier with dial-up.

The bookcases are my old Ikea Billy ones, bolted together and screwed to the walls, after 30 years, they don't owe me a penny. Kudos to dear brother for helping me do this.
The view from the living area to the dining room, kitchen. At the end there are stairs that go the ground floor.
View from dining area to living area, fireplace in the corner, bathroom, study and my bedroom are off the hall. It's difficult to photograph, but the ceiling is vaulted. One of the key reasons for buying.
The in-progress demolition photo gives a better idea of how bad these windows are. Twelve feet of heat loss/gain. The green tape lines are proposed window locations. I want to spread them across the wall, leaving space for my china cabinet, and art. Placing a window near the couch will bring more light to the living area. The fireplace is to the left of the patio door
