another beautiful sunday :)
i love waking up to the sun shining in through the windows warming my face. lovely ...
anyhow- things have been quite busy. apartment searching has begun again. sure seems like we just did this, i cant believe it has already been a year... our lease is up the end of may, and we have started looking at places around dover and portsmouth. ugh, yesterday was a rollercoaster of emotions... i still dont understand how looking at apartments can be so emotional...but it always is! haha
the one we saw in portsmouth was AMAZING and beautiful and perfect. until we realized in the car driving away that there wasnt a living room! the room we decided was perfect for an office/craft room was actually the living room, making the apartment smaller than ours now. plus, the rent was 995 and even in portsmouth that's more than i want to pay.
the second one we saw on locust st in dover was supposed to be "it".... the landlady was wicked sweet and the apartment was HUGE... 2 bedrooms, an "office" a huge living room and master bedroom, a 3yr old kitchen and a washer and dryer....but then came the husband dun DUN DUNNNNN oh my god. we were there for 40 minutes going over word for word the lease...until he concluded with a very stern, " well, you should seriously think before you live here, because kids your age want to have friends over and are loud and we will know who comes in and out of your apt. so we'll know what is going on... blah blah blah" and pretty much since we werent a "couple" we must be a bunch of crazy college students up for loud parties every night.... we decided against telling him that the loudest we ever get is when our PARENTS are over. the fuck head. UGH. needless to say i think we would have both been frightened to park the car in the driveway because im sure the bumper stickers and "i heart lesbians" airfreshener would have displeased mr. stick up my ass landlord.
so the third one we looked at was BRAND NEW all new everything... self cleaning oven the whole sha-bang.... lofted bedroom, new berber carpet, exposed beams in the bedroom, area in the back to garden, little washer and dryer in the bathroom and all for 850 including heat water electricity cable... EVERYTHING. ..... but it was pretty much a 2 room studio... and even after careful planning on what we would really need to live with we still decided (the defining thing was not thinking of a place to store the vacuum cleaner haha) that it ws too small. DAMN.
and now.... now im done with it all and dont want to look at another god damn apartment unless it is perfect and cheap and right exactly where we want it to be. the end.
OOOOH annie recieved the Kidder award last week at the annual pancake breakfast... im so proud of her. it pretty much makes her the coolest of the cool on campus. ps she rocks my world!
ahh well- i suppose i should get going and get some coffee... breakfast... and then we'll be off to get the food for the week, head to the cafe and do work/laundry.... cheers! :)
