Title: Oops
Word count: 148
Fandom: Sky High
Challenge: #59
Characters: Connor, Will, Warren
Connor flinched as cold milk and assorted other foodstuffs pelted his jacket. He lifted his head slowly, cold blue eyes locking with frightened brown before he looked for the real culprit.
There, trying to hide his malicious grin behind one hand, was Lash. Connor smiled slowly, and watched in pleasure as the elastic bully paled dramatically. He stopped the Freshman's stuttering apologies with one upraised hand.
"Little pu - "
"Sit down Warren."
"Are you - "
"It wasn't him."
The pyro looked from his stoic, milk-covered friend, to the younger boy, obviously scared out of his mind and reluctantly sat back down. "What are you looking at?" He growled at the silent cafeteria, and gradually conversation started back up.
"We'll get 'em in P.E."
"But Boomer - "
" - will let me go up against them. He wants to see them lose."
Warren smirked, "Sounds good."

Title: Towels
Word count: 199
Fandom: Supernatural
Challenge: #40
Characters: Dawn, Sam
"You've got to be kidding me!" Dawn stomped out of the bathroom, looking for the perpetrator of the dastardly deed. It wasn't hard to find him, he left a water trail a toddler could follow. She jabbed him in the shoulder just as he was about to enter his room.
"Yes?"
Dawn tried to ignore all that big, broad chest that was still a little damp - no! She was mad at him, damnit! She glared up at the tall hunter, "You used the last towel, again."
Sam smiled down at her, "Sorry. We got in late, I had to shower this morning."
"Yeah, well, you coulda replaced the towels."
He sighed, "I will next time, okay?"
Dawn nodded, grumbling a little, "That doesn't help me this time."
Sam's blue eyes sparkled. "Here," he unwrapped his towel and handed it to the now-gaping Watcher. "I trust this solves your problem. See you at breakfast Dawn." He entered the room and smiled brightly as he shut the door in her flushed face.
"Yeah... um, problem solved," she muttered, looking down at the still-wet towel that had so recently been touching Sam's - no. Dawn scowled, "Dang, I hate cold showers!"

Title: Guilty Pleasures
Word count: 200
Fandom: Twilight
Challenge: #60
Characters: Faith, Jacob
She loved the feel of the wind in her hair and the thrum of the powerful machine between her legs. She knew that Council funds were supposed to be for weapons, food, all that boring necessary stuff but... well, she wasn't used to having much. She couldn't help splurging just a little.
Faith slowed for the stop sign, she could hear another vehicle coming from somewhere. It was hard to tell where exactly, so she stopped, like an average, law-abiding citizen.
All things she most definitely was not.
Another bike appeared ahead on the road, pointed straight at her. Faith watched it come, watched the man as he slowed to a screeching halt beside her. He wasn't wearing a helmet either and his eyes were dark and tired.
She felt the world melt away as she looked into those eyes. It crumbled to bits and then rebuilt itself around him. Faith found herself no longer on her bike, but on his. On him to be more precise, sitting crossways on his lap and staring into eyes like dark chocolate, gasping as if she'd just gone ten rounds with a nest of master vamps.
"Well hell," he muttered, "This is unexpected."

Title: Coffee
Word count: 198
Fandom: Southern Vampire Series
Challenge: #41
Characters: Willow, Sookie, Sam
"Sure you don't want to order anything?"
The redhead nodded silently, hands wrapped tight around her mug of coffee. Sookie had refilled it at least three times in the last hour. In all that time the woman had done nothing but sit and stare at the empty booth opposite.
"Are you waiting for someone?"
The woman looked up at that, revealing weary hazel eyes. "No," she answered.
"Alright." Sookie headed off to the back. Sam was waiting there, looking, just as she had been, at the redhead. There was a frown on his face.
"She ok?" That was his way of asking if she had 'listened in.'
"I don't know."
He paused, casting Sookie a sidelong glance, "Why don't you find out."
The blonde paused, biting her lip worriedly, "Think that's really necessary?"
Sam shrugged, "I dunno."
When Sookie headed out again she made sure to walk by the strange woman's table, mind wide open. She got the surprise of her life.
It's not nice to listen in, the redhead reprimanded.
"Sorry," Sookie said out loud, flushing, "We were just a little worried, is all."
"It's alright," she stood and dropped some cash on the table, "Good coffee."
