“Oh, it’s a, uh, photo book of my family from Earth-that-Was.” Mal’s face turned a slight pink. “My ma gave it to me when I first left Shadow… was my favorite book when I was a kid.”
“Ohhhh! Shiny!! Can I look?” Kaylee had already sat down and opened to the first page.
“Ta ma de!* Who’s this Cap’n?! He looks just like you!”
“Oh, that my Great-Great-Great-however many greats granddaddy from Earth-That-Was. His name was Brian. Brian Kinney. Lived some place calls Pittsburg."
