Malice Mizer?!, Sports, and San Simeon, day 3
02/22: San Simeon, day 3!
I got up really early, went out and tried (and failed) to take nice pictures of birds, took even MORE pictures of the ocean instead. Our ocean is on the wrong side for sunrises, but it's still really pretty in the morning.
After we'd packed up, we went to a crazy pebbly beach a little ways down the coast.
FULL OF BIRDS.
Like for serious.
And not just small ones - GIANT PELICANS. Man. Those of you who have never been near a real pelican - you have no idea how BIG these things are.
I'm sure if I could speak to birds, these ones would be saying something important. But it'd probably be like watching birdy CSPAN, so it might've been boring all the same.
We climbed up the side of a little cliff-thing. The girls made plans for colonization. My camera battery died, the one time I didn't have my spare. ^_^;
...Awesome. The world needs more of these.

In other news, again - oh man, went to karaoke for a little bit the other day, and I so wish I knew where all my Malice Mizer music went. All the bands I like don't exist anymore. So out of the loop.
I miss all the really good VK bands. Kids these days. Everybody just looks like copies of looks Diru did when I was in high school, only not quite as incredible, and nobody realizes this, because who listens to good Diru anymore? (Once upon a time, I knew what I was talking about.) I've never been one for the kind of sparkly boy bands that are all that's popular right now. And doesn't anybody do costumes anymore? Maybe it's just that I have no idea what's going on, these days. But oh, PLC, how I miss you and your beautiful clothes, and your fantastically varied music. Everything looks the same, all the covers of Shoxx and all that that I see in the bookstore. Sadness.
Maybe it's just like anime, and I'm so old that I've seen it all before, but I can't help thinking that things have gotten so much more the SAME lately. Especially since the invention of whatever LAME computer coloring program it is all the new anime uses.
...I'm such an old lady. -throws cats at passers-by- (Don't worry, the cats are trained for it.)
In other other news, I want to go outside and play sports. Don't get me wrong, I completely suck at EVERY sport, without exception, but I want to be outside in the sun and get good old-fashioned ball-chasing exercise. This is part of my let's-not-be-depressed-about-summer plan. That, and doing sports means an excuse to make/wear cute little uniforms and---^__________^~ Oh, my ulterior motives. Not really. But kind of.
...Also, dancing. Let's go dancing! Any takers on any count? ^_^;
