Last weekend, I went with my host dad and some of his friends from work (men and women) on trip to ... probably Yamanashi. I can't be sure, because we drove there. But s you'll be able to tell from the pictures, it was, at any rate, someplace very close to Mount Fuji.

The place you went to is called 忍野八海【おしのはっかい】, which I'd gone to about two years prior 不思議なことに. It is in Yamanashi. Japanese Wikipedia says the English name for it is "The Springs of Mt. Fuji".
