Okay, so. I had a phonecall yesterday from my Uncle and Aunt from my father's side. My Nana has died.

Me and my Nana went out for a lovely meal yesterday afternoon. We left my poor Grandad at home because it was one of his worse days where the pain is too much for him to even make it two minutes down the road for a good old fashioned Sunday lunch.

I am being ridiculous.

I'm worrying about the future. Like, not to the point where it makes me need to take more anxiety tablets than the Doctor prescribed is absolutely necessary, but it kept me awake two nights running.

And I love my sleep.

Things could be a lot worse, but it's still not really good enough, is it?

I need to get rid of all my stupid expectations. I'm never gonna make anything of myself. I'll never be a professional or earn more than the pitiful average wage for my area. I'll most certainly never amount to anything, never achieve that childhood dream I used to cling to, ( Read more... )

So. I have had a most productive day. I have read nearly an entire novel in preparation for my seminar tomorrow aftenoon - the rest will be read later tonight and possibly tomorrow afternoon during my free.
