Fanart: Harry Potter - Reparations/Foundations [HPDM]

So I, like many others, got sucked in to saras_girl's Foundations!verse, and have been working on these fanarts pretty much since I started reading them. I have black and white versions as well as colour, but I'm really not so great at Photoshop, so all colour is really simple.
I draw in the anime/manga style primarily, because it works for me and I'm not

I just stumbled across this via Google, and I would be so incredibly pleased with them if I were you as well! These are marvelous. I've only just started listening to Reparations (working through it in 3 hour clumps as I drive from uni to home and back on random weekends), so I'm not reliable on most of the OCs, but your Draco is spectacular. I like the no-fringe just because it reminds us of Lucius, and therefore what a grown-up Draco might model his hair after. It's so much more awesome than I of the no drawing skills whatsoever could have done, so you're definitely ace in my book. Wicked work.

Aah you're listening to the audiofics? How good are they?!?! *big grin* I read them first, but am listening to them just for that added effect of awesome, haha.
Oh I never thought of no-fringe Draco looking like Lucius, but I guess you're right. Huh. Cool.

Indeed. This was partway down the first page! Considering you'd posted it that day, I was pretty impressed with Google's webcrawling speed.

And they're fantastic. I've been fighting skipping ahead via the actual text of the fic, because I want to save something to keep me awake on drives (such as the one I'm about to embark upon at 4:30 in the bloody AM because I'm an imbecile but need to be there by morning), but it's terribly hard, especially when there's usually 2 weeks or more between trips.

Hee, that's so interesting! I assumed the Lucius look was what you were going for when you settled the fringe debate. Way to apply pureblood hairstyling logic subconsciously!

Nah seriously, my debate for fringe-abandonment was "Oh this is way, WAY too hard. *rubs out fringe* ooooohhhh now that works." And that was it.

With a story to focus on, if it's good enough that you want to know what happens next, it tends to keep my attention enough to make me not die. And thanks to the natural and logical tendency of readers to only expend the time podficcing excellent fics, this is usually the case. Though definitely that's a hazard with soothing voices, I prefer that to a grating one any day! LOL, I'd love to do a study on the differences between normal story bits and porny story bits while driving, though--my roommate was following me back to our hometown one day and she calls me in the middle of the drive and is all "Erm, are you awake? Your car keeps sort of drifting off center." Turns out it's because when porn comes on, you're (or, you know, at least I'm) sort of like " . . . . . . . oO" as your mind follows. I have the annoying habit of applying logic to sex scenes as well, so I'll find myself contorting my head to try and figure out how bodies are fitting together, which makes for mind digressions that lead to having to correct my position in

someone actually wrote a book on slash fanfiction and it's fangirls?I know people do mini!studies on us at universities all the time, and ask for input on various forums, but I've never seen anything finished! If you happen to recall the book or author, I'd love to check it out and see if I agree with their conclusions

Okay, so not necessarily SLASH fanfiction, but it's still hilarious. And has a good deal of 'homoerotic novels and why they're so popular' in there XD
