Hikaru smiled a bit as she listened just outside the door to the ending of the ballet. She had performed her part without flaw and was now waiting for the end and curtain call. She was wearing the full costume and makeup. She sighed as she listened. The ballet was another ten minutes or so, by what she could hear of the music.

'I wonder if Sakurai-chan really did come...' she thought, trying not to sigh again. 'Well, I couldn't see anyone in the audience with the lights that bright. I'll just have to wait and see....'

Getting up, she stretched and poked her head in the door quietly so that she could see where they were at. She smiled a bit at the scene on the stage. The little girl playing the main part was one of the younger girls she was teaching in her volunteer hours and she had worked hard to get the part. Hikaru was proud of her accomplishment. Having noted where they were, she went back to her seat in the lobby once again waiting.

'It's so much easier to wait here...' she thought, a slight frown coming to her face as she remembered the stapled together jacket she'd come back to after her part was done. She'd just moved past the other girls and headed out here, ignoring the jacket. It would take time to get the staples out, but she'd brought another coat in case it got colder when the ballet was over, so she would take the staples out when she got home.

Leaning back against the wall, Hikaru closed her eyes and listened.
