Friday, November 25th, Second Hour PE
((Students in this class: PE [Boys]- Ami, Haitani, Kaoru, Maikeru, Naozumi
PE [Girls]- Andrea, Hikaru, Kanako, Natsumi, Ryoko, Sumara, Yu Ling, Yui, Yukimura, Yumi))
Hikaru sighed as she walked out of the girls locker room. She was tired from Thanksgiving and was worried about the opening performance tonight for the Nutcracker. She had two tickets, meant for family members, but her father was working late and wouldn't make it and she wasn't sure who to ask to come.
The sport for the day, ironically enough, was dancing. It was too cold for the sport to be held outdoors, and indoor sports were limited. Even though it was dance, from what Hikaru had heard, they were still separating the sexes, which she didn't particularly mind since girls were much less likely to step on a toe, and wouldn't be too heavy if they did. They were going to be in the same room though, which argued for maybe dancing jazz or hip-hop rather than anything that required actual contact. Both jazz and hip-hop were possible to do solo dances to, after all. And Hikaru doubted that they would do anything too complicated, and certainly not ballet.
'Maybe ballroom dancing of some kind...swing maybe. But those require dancing with a partner.' she thought as she stepped into the gym and look around to see where girls were supposed to go for roll. Seeing the area, she headed that direction and started stretching. She looked around to see who had arrived as she stretched, ignoring the chatter around her as she considered an idea.
'I don't know if she'll be interested...but it couldn't hurt to ask Sakurai-chan if she wants to watch the ballet...I'd like her to see me dance at least...the worst she could say is no, or that she's busy... and the ticket is good for tonight, tomorrow night and Sunday night....She could even bring a date if she wanted.' Hikaru thought, not liking the idea, but accepting that it was possible that Yui might have someone in mind that she liked. She looked around with more interest now as she hoped to spot Yui. She had changed quickly, so she hadn't seen the other girl in the locker room.
((OOC: I remember having to do dance in PE way back when I took PE, though that was years ago since I havn't taken PE since middle school....but if dance bothers anyone as a PE section, let me know and I'll come up with something else.))
