(no subject)
So yesterday and today was both buuuuusy. 8D In a very good way.
I'm a good portion done with Kamui! <3 I made the pants (just need to hem the bottom... and I might take in some of it, since I made it way too baggy) and the shirt (just need to sew the zipper in and then finish up the collar) and I revamped the designs for Len's top. I mean... you never see the back of his outfit, so I may just put a zipper up the back rather than make a full-blown corset back. Couldn't work on it today 'cause no black zippers at home... :P
But we got Sarah's fabric out to her. Gave Chris a photoshoot (there's a few good pictures, but I won't put them up since I just gave them to him to do as he wants with them) and played Little Big Planet for a while. XD Yesterday was quite an experience as well. Went light bulb shopping (STILL can't find white lighting), and then went fabric shopping, and then worked on cosplay, and then... etc, etc. XD
Kamui's coat is... well, I suppose it's both better and worse than what I expected. XD;; Or maybe I can rephrase that... it's better than what I expected, worse than what I hoped for.
I made up the back, of course, since this is another outfit which doesn't have any pictures for the back of the outfit. XD;; I may add two orange belts in the back between the black lines... but that's IF I have the time to do so. I'd like to finish this by Sunday, after all, and I've still got quite an amount to work on.
The pockets didn't come out anywhere as nice as I had hoped. The cargo pockets aren't even and doesn't seem to want to stay looking nice... so hopefully I can just flatten them in pictures and it won't look as bad? XD;; The bottom pockets ARE real. 8D First time for me when it comes to pockets... of any kind. Sadly, with the bottom ones, the outside orange is a bit bunched up because of the extra fabric under it... and you can SEE the lining of the pocket from the outside. DDDDDD:
LEN'S OUTFIT, btw, is also quite a pain.
Like I said, you totally can't see just how many meters of fabric went into this already-- and the layers and layers of tulle underneath the skirt to try and give it some poof. I'm hitting up Dressew tomorrow morning to get more black tulle... as well as all the lace I need and the zipper for the top. XD;; The bow, by the way, is NOT a neck one. That's the hair ribbon I made, just tied around the dress-form's neck. ^^;; I did all of that yesterday, lawlawlawl.
I need new blue contacts! The old ones I used for Ciel has already died. D: And going as Len last Sunday, I had to wear my green ones. XD; Which I totally love to death, but it's still slightly inaccurate (never minding the different PVs where the Kagamine twins have yellow eyes... or green...)
So I guess I need to look for those as well. XD Hopefully circle lens. ♥ I'm really liking those.
