Roomie: "Are you wearing make up?"
Me: "Yeah, so?"
Roomie: "Is it because you're seeing Doojoon today..."
Me: "DON'T JUDGE ME, I HAVE STANDING SEATS OKAY" ;__;
So I just came home from Welcome (Back) to Beast Airlines~
I somehow managed to get standing seats for me and Soy at the last minute (one day before the concert) and although I was no more than ten feet away from them and could see the sweat rolling off of their beautiful faces, it's probably not something I want to do again, ever. So many girls pushing me into other girls and middle schoolers making me half deaf before the concert even started -ㅂ-;;
Whatever, that being said, the concert itself was really good, I never realized how strong everyone's vocals were until I heard them live. They performed almost all of their songs (starting with Shock, ending with Beautiful with I Like You Best and VIU as the encore) To spare you the tl;dr version here are my highlights:
- Doojoon + Dongwoon solo (I'm a sucker for piano pieces)
- Oasis Remix ver
- Junhyung's rapping, so good
- Free Talk (aka tiem to show everyone our abs 8D)
- Dongwoon calling Seob's underwear cute *__*
- Kikwang + Hyunsueng reinaction of the flail-inducing Secret Garden sit-up scene
- new mv for I like You Best (continuation of Beautiful)
- Lightless (they made us turn all the glowsticks off and we listened to them sing in the dark)
- Best Seob Moment Ever: the girl who was pushing and screaming the whole time threw a gift at him while he was singing during the encore...he looked at it, smirked, then skipped along on his merry way while she proceeded to throw a fit, LMAO
- Japanese fans are so nice ;_;
- Kwang ripping off his shirt twice, JFC
Also, I think Kikwang is my new bias TAT it's not my fault he spent like, half the concert running around without a shirt. That and he did the VIU dance right in front of me complete with excessive hip thrusting and I just wasn't ready for it. My poor noona heart.
Lastly, life-undefined-by-kpop talk: I recently came back from a month in Thailand with Soy Sauce and the roomie, no worse for wear (in spite of the entire first week which involved headaches, dizzy spells, debilitating stomach pain, and frequent trips to the bathroom.) All in all, it was a great experience and I came back much fatter :/ the food is delicious, especially the suspicious looking street stuff T__T Everything's so cheap, you can get a full meal for 1-2 dollars. There are fresh fruits available year round and mini pineapples are to die for. I definitely recommend visiting if you're in Southeast Asia.
