Trip's hair in Reinforcements from the Future: ignore it, or explain it?

I have a question that needs a theory, and all of my usual people to debate theories with aren't available right now. So, I ask you friends, to answer me this: Why does Trip's hair have blue spots in it in Reinforcements from the Future? (Any Lucas/Trip theories are both welcome and encouraged. ^_
