Trip's hair in Reinforcements from the Future: ignore it, or explain it?

Feb 12, 2009 12:32

I have a question that needs a theory, and all of my usual people to debate theories with aren't available right now. So, I ask you friends, to answer me this: Why does Trip's hair have blue spots in it in Reinforcements from the Future? (Any Lucas/Trip theories are both welcome and encouraged. ^_~)

And I mean this in a way that can be explained in fannon, because I know that the real reason is some idiot threw Kevin Kleinberg's wig in the wash.

I have now finally seen Reinforcements from the Future, and have decided how to work it into the A Darker Shade of Red/Bright Skies universe. I was actually a little disappointed by it, though: for some reason I was expecting ... more? I dunno. It just wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be.

* Huh. I just noticed that both Wild Force and S.P.D. have episodes twenty-four and twenty-five as a two part saga: Reinforcements from the Future, and Reflections. This fascinates me for no apparent reason.

* I now remember why I was never able to get into Wild Force. I'm trying to watch it, and I keep alternating between giggling and twitching. It's so ... CHEESY. To quote Ruby from Supernatural, "This is like deep-fried crack."

* Why do all the Time Force Rangers seem so subdued? Wes is weirdly butch now, like he's over compensating for something. And the whole Eric/Taylor thing is starting to seem wildly blown out of proportion by the end of Part 1. Did they ever even actually start fighting before everyone started jumping in the middle? 'Cause Eric was being ... well, Eric finally, and Taylor gets all pissy over it.

* Danny and Max are cannon, damn it! You cannot convince me otherwise!

* Dude ... Shayla .... -Dies- Yeah, not a fan of the ditzy mentor. I'll take Dimitria over her any day. Wouldn't mind living on the Animarium, though.

* -Snickers- "You should see my Q-Rex." So many bad thoughts ....

* Hey, Bondage Jen comes with pirate background music. Coolness. Although, the background music for this whole episode is kind of ... weird.

* What the hell happened to Trip's hair? He's all ... tie-dyed now.

* -Busts up laughing- Dude! Cole tried to touch the Special Phone and Danny slapped his hand!

* Trip's tie-dye hair is blue and green now! That is totally *not* my imagination! -Dances for random Lucas/Trip hints-

* I still do not understand the reasoning behind using a megazord to smack time ships into the time stream. It seems sort of like ... megazord retirement or something. Maybe it's cheaper than trying to use them for scrap metal? -Shrugs-

* Okay, Lucas, Trip, and Katie running out of the time ship yelling for Wes is adorable. ^_^

* No! No, shooting the reformed villains! Down, Jen! -Giggles-

* So, uh ... I guess you're not gonna be able to crack those cuffs with a paperclip, huh?

* -Raising her eyebrows- Ransik calls Jen 'Time Ranger'. Interesting.

* Cole has Native American flute music when he does his nifty empathy thing. Huh. And Jen, who just met Cole like, maybe an hour ago, suddenly trust him when he says Ransik's good now? o.O

* Ooh, team campfire! I wanna join ...

* -Blinking- Wait ... So, according to Ransik, everyone lives in one giant, Time Force-protected city, and the rest of the world is post-Armageddon?

* -Giggles- Wes tucked Trip into bed for the night, and Trip's using Circuit as a teddy bear. Kawaii!

* -Blank stare- Okay, this is in the year 2002, right? What computer system is that Power Plant supposed to be using? It looks like something from the '80s ...

* ... Couldn't Nadira fight last season? Or is that just me. 'Cause apparently she can't now.

* Ransik does not make sense to me at any point in this entire episode.

* Random question: where does Trip's backpack go when he morphs?

* -Giggling hysterically- Lucas and Danny toss their boyfriends up away from danger!

* -Amused- I think Eric is the only Red whose battlizer makes his feet bulkier than his shoulders.
