Sick Day and Fic Plots
Bah.
Today is sick day.
Shi-chan has sick for the past few days. As always, we have valiantly tried to avoid sharing. As always, my lazy pathetic excuse for an immune system laughed in my face.*
Unfortunately after hours of reading Teen Wolf and Pacific Rim and Avengers fic - the reasons for these transitions now eluded me - I have come to the conclusion that I really, really, really want an Alpha/Beta/Omega 'verse Samurai story. The plot is even halfway written in my head.
It's a simple plot at the moment. Jayden has spent his life pretending to be the head of the Shiba Clan while Lauren trains, and an Alpha as the head of the Clan is expected to be. Everything goes according to plan until Antonio arrives, unintentionally revealing himself as the Alpha to Jayden's Omega. The team isn't sure what to make of this, Ji is horrified, and Jayden is torn between his duty and his instinctive desire to step back and let Antonio protect him.
Lauren is obviously an Alpha. The team I see as Betas, except *maybe* Mia as another Alpha. And I'm kind of torn between Emily as another Beta or an Omega. But Kevin and Mike are both totally Betas, and all their posturing is because they can't decide which one of them is supposed to be Jayden's second.
Unfortunately everything I know about Alpha/Beta/Omega dynamics comes from reading Avengers and like, one Teen Wolf fic. And the idea trying to research it enough to write this kind of scares me almost as much as the idea of actually going ahead and writing it.
SOMEBODY TELL ME NO. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS SPARKLY AND RAINBOWS TELL ME NOT TO DO THIS.
I should really stop plotting fic when I'm sick ...
