Over the past couple of days, I've been ... well, brooding, for a lack of a better word. I wanted to write out my thoughts, but I haven't been able to find the words. I still can't. And then I remembered

It's not that the Facebook post wasn't a tribute, but more that it wasn't supposed to be. I wasn't thinking about what I would say to her when I wrote it. I was thinking about how easy it would have been for us to have never met, and how grateful I was that I had, because she'd made such a difference in my life without even actively trying to do so. It reminded me of Matt Austin and his fan tribute video, and how he was so fascinated by all of us. And I wanted to let someone know that it wasn't just about Power Rangers being a show that makes it so popular with its older fans; it's about more than that.
It wasn't meant to be a tribute, but in a way it was. Which I think she would have liked, too. But when I really thought about what I would have wanted to say to her, and to her family now that she's gone ... That's when I made the collages.
It is a credit to her. Because losing her also reminded me how lucky I am to have found all my fandom friends, and how incredibly amazing it is that I ever met any of you at all. Like you. ♥
