Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Ah, memories ...

Oh, Lois and Clark. How I miss you. ♥

I grew up on this show. According to the first season box set, it was actually aired about the same time as the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which amuses me. This also helps explain my ridiculous love of superheroes and their backstories.

But oh, Lois and Clark. So much fun in one pilot episode! There are so many little side jokes I didn't properly appreciate when I was a kid!

"You like to be on top. Got it."

"I said nine, I thought you'd be naked. ...Mmhmm, ready."

"So, explain something to me. You eat like an eight-year-old, and you look like Mr. Hardbody. What's your secret, and can I have it?"

"When are you coming? ... Out of the closet?"
"Soon, sir. Very soon."

"Well, one thing's for sure, nobody's gonna be lookin' at your face."
"Mom!"
"Well they don't call 'em tights for nothin'."

"What the hell is that?"
"Is that a bird?"
"Is it a plane?"
"No. Just a guy in a pair of tights and a cape."

The costumes scene! Martha, you are *awesome*. ♥

Clark is snarkier than I remembered! He's funny, too. Lois is surprisingly *meanier* than I thought, too. And Jimmy was cool, but I know I always liked him. This is just an all around great cast.

The film quality isn't as good as I recall though, which, considering the time period, isn't that much of a big deal. And their 'futuristic' technology amuses me. -Snickers- They still have preferated printer paper. Or at least Clark does, which isn't saying much.

-Sighs happily- Well, that cheered me up immensely.

... Now why do I suddenly have an urge to watch Lightspeed Rescue? o.O
