For Love of Graphic Design!
Today, I have learned many things.
I learned that potato pancakes are actually pretty good, especially with sour cream and salt and pepper smeared all over them. It's like eating a hand-held baked/mashed potato. Oh, and I learned that Thyme is good for cramps. (Who knew? o.O)
I learned that I *can* make tofu stir-fry. I also learned that next time, I need to cook the tofu a little longer to get the browned consistency I prefer, and a different type of veggie mix would probably work better. And I learned that I kind of understand how to use seasonings now! (Trust me, this is bigger than it sounds. I used to EPICALLY FAIL at cooking.)
I learned that I should listen to Kim - my MP3 player - more often. I had her around my neck while I was cooking and totally sang along and danced to everything she played, because I'd forgotten I put all my most favorite songs on her. I looked like a total dork I'm sure, but as all three of my roommates were asleep, I really didn't care.
I learned - well, reminded myself, really - that writing an original one-shot is ridiculously hard. I write one-shot fanfics all the time; what's wrong with me? Lately I can write epics or I can write blurbs, but nothing in between. -Mutters and glares at muses-
I also learned that I really need to update my design portfolio, which is really the point of this post. So, as I tend to do when I'm stuck for ideas on something, I'm turning to my friends list.
I am officially putting out an offer to design anything requested. Icons, banners, wallpapers, personal logos, personalized stationary, advertisements, or whatever else you can think of. I do photography as well: taking photos, and photo retouch. I also draw by hand (sort of), but my style is more anime-based. All I ask in return is permission to add the project to my design portfolio for potential work references.
Got an idea of something, but not sure how to do it? No *time* to do it? Or just feel like poking me with ideas so I can throw them into my portfolio to be helpful? Speak up! Leave me a comment with your request and as many details as you can possibly think of. Colors, layout, pictures/fonts/text you'd like used, ect. Go ahead make as may requests as you'd like! And feel free to throw any random thought or request out at me; I'll see what I can do.
