It sat in a bleach/water combo in the bathtub for a few hours. I can't let it sit for multiple days on end because well, we kinda need the bathtub.

Don't let fabric set in bleach for more than hour! Even that makes me nervous. Bleach will eat your clothes.
(Toilet brushes are different - they're made of plastic).
