houses of the holy commentary help!
this will teach me to read commentary/meta late at night. >.< to wit: this was not a comment in my lj, but i don't remember where i read it or who said it, but i want to remember it because it was a good, succint comment.
does this ring any bells:
the comment was something to the effect that sam is dean's faith, and dean is sam's redemption. or words to that effect. does that sound familiar to anyone? whose comment was that - and what exactly did they say - so i can give them credit when i think about it?
and sort of related, when father reynolds says that men can't be angels (and therefore father gregory's ghost is just that, a ghost), was i the only one who thought "you've met dean winchester, right?" heh. (seriously, tho, if sam has this huge potential for evil, i think dean has the same potential for good. that's my theory and i'm sticking to it. :D )
