spring has apparently sprung

it was Spring today and i ate my lunch outside and was briefly overcome with sun. i also had a lunch show up at 12:15 for a 1:00 social because sometimes they are just that early.

question for the writers/readers in the audience (which i assume is, uh, well, probably everybody one way or the other) - what's the difference between fabric and cloth in a literary kind of way? like, if you're writing/reading about a medical examiner who's about to perform an autopsy on a dead body, and they have to get the corpse's shirt off, do they cut through fabric or cloth? answers on a 3"x5" file card. :D (brought to you by "i would've used 'fabric' right there - 'cloth' sounds dumb.")

i know i've mentioned the line before - saudi arabia's weirdly dystopian sounding, very long, very narrow, very tall desert city of the future - it was supposed to be 170km long with 1.5 million people by 2030 but now they're revising the project's size down to 2.4km and 300k people. because they are running out of money. i may or may not be laughing at the hubris.

the dog chapel i bought a photo of over the weekend. arf.
