happy cheap chocolate eve, o my flist. admin s from the libraries sent me a valentine's day card on slack that said "you make my heart implode" with some cute hearts on it and a picture of the titan submersible that flattened like a tin can under an 18-wheeler last year. i responded with OMG and then "that's horrible and i love it". (one of the reasons i love her is her off-kilter sense of humor.)
so yesterday we were supposed to have this massive storm - on monday they were saying a foot of snow and the
french toast alert was at four slices and everyone called snow emergencies and canceled school, and then it was 6-8" and the french toast alert downgraded to three slices and everything was still snow emergency and canceled school, and the u where i work closed for non essential personnel (which is me) and i woke up yesterday morning and... it was raining. >.< and it continued to rain and even tho it eventually snowed some it was wet snow and didn't stick. i stayed home for that? i got nothing done. mediocre, mother nature.
on the plus side work is slighly less nuts. which is nice. and tomorrow the t goes back to normal - everything has been borked for a couple weeks for track maintenance and my roommate and i have been taking the bus a lot (and also watching a lot of buses go by because they're too full to take more passengers) but tomorrow this will be OVER.
on sunday i went over to friend r's house to watch the puppy bowl and then i had curling and we won! wtf. it was a close game, too. i can really get used to this.
resident alien is back! i highly recommend it if you haven't seen it and you're interested in fun and slightly weird shows about aliens that smack you in the feels when you're not looking. also, alan tudyk.
