captain american or the winter soldier? it's anyone's guess. :D
2. Something that makes you laugh
we are bad news (well HE is), by apiphile and jar. i've listened to the podfic of this so many times i probably have half of it almost memorized and it still cracks me up. fair warning - there is A LOT of pee. but it's very funny.
3. A bookshelf
this way you get to see my 40th anniversary love and rockets box set which cost more than any single thing i've ever bought that wasn't a laptop, a car, or my couch. also a lot of giant days which i highly recommend.
4. A game or hobby you enjoy
let's see how long it takes to finish this one. >.<
5. Something you find comforting
the aforementioned couch. i bought it with my tax refund one year and slept on it for two weeks after i broke my ankle and i love it a lot. (the throw across the back is mine, and the ones on the arms are my roommate's. there's a lot of cozy here.)
6. A TV show or movie you hope more people will watch
kevin can go f*ck himself! i watched both seasons even tho most of the characters were hard to like and i have no idea how many people watched it but you should all check it out so i have someone to go "why do i like this show??" at.
7. A piece of clothing you love
i won this at the prom raffle during a wincon, i think new orleans. (same year i won a firefly t-shirt, and then a second spn t-shirt i gave to someone else because i already had one and why did i keep winning t-shirts at the raffle?)
8. A thing from an old fandom
metallicars! the tiny one came with one of the dvd box sets and the bigger one came from a regular online hobby store after a fangirl discovered the place sold model 67 impalas and of course had to share that knowledge. by the time i got around to it we'd bought so many they were on back order. never underestimate the power of the fangirls.

my first fandom, and for a long time the fandom by which all others were judged. hands up if you ever read it.
9. A thing from a new fandom
...i don't think i have a new fandom. i watched a lot of stranger things over the summer, does that count? also apparently all of ms marvel, which i completely forgot about, but aside from reblogging a bunch of stuff on tumblr i wouldn't say i'm in either fandom.

uh... i didn't kill my roommate? and she didn't kill me? altho i don't think she's as homicidally inclined. i finished nano, which is more than i can say for 2021, and i wrote my last bang for spn-j2-bigbang - kneeling by the roadside, which was an experiment but one that i think worked. i was proud of it when i was done, at least. and i got some incredible art, which i realize isn't my win but it was so good i have to mention it.
and i finally finished my sister's birthday-hanukah-birthday-new year's cross stitch and gave it to her and she was very pleased.

this is probably cheating, and it's what i did last year, but it's really hard for me to create on demand so i'm just going to share a podfic i did for fandom trumps hate, which i posted to ao3 in december but haven't shared here. my eyes tell the truth my lips do not speak (the witcher), written by litra and read by me.
in other news, one of the groups i support at work had a lunch today and i got to meet my predecessor, who coincidentally took my job at the libraries. he introduced himself and said it was nice to finally meet me, since we switched places. (i felt the same! i wanted to meet the person who took my job and whose job i took.) and then he kind of apologized for taking my job because man, i loved working for librarians. i said it wasn't his fault. (it wasn't.) lunch was good, someone eventually ate the leftovers, i had two cookies which was one cookie too much.
yesterday was bring your own lunch lunch which was just me and two other admins! where was everybody??
something happened tuesday but i don't remember what. and monday it snowed! i had the day off for mlk day so i went back to the glasses place for like the millionth time to drop off the new glasses for their new-new lenses (this time with accurate prescription!) and then sat in starbucks and wrote some random space truckers but mostly i went out into the snow and it was fabulous. also cold and wet, but whatever. i didn't want to sit inside on my ass all day.
