the tomato plant has now produced two - count 'em - tiny tomatoes! which we have eaten. in addition to being adorable and orange they are also delicious.
it's been alternately hot and rainy out here and i'm only excited about the second of those things. i am not a warm weather creature. *sweat*
i hope the americans in the audience had a good fourth of july, and if you wanted fireworks i hope you got fireworks, and if you didn't want, i hope you could avoid them. the weather was crappy here so my sister and i didn't bother trying to watch them anywhere besides on tv. we mostly stayed in her house and watched 2 fast 2 furious and the next two episodes of loki. (i'm still a little weirded out that loki seems to have developed fine feelings for... himself.) i made broccoli salad and banana pudding and my sister made potato salad and hot dogs, and we had chips and guac, and it was very nice. and we watched the boston fireworks on tv, because they shot them off from boston common i think so they could crowd control. because usually they're over the river, and there's just no way to control the crowds on both sides of the charles.
it was great to have friday and monday off but at the same time i'm totally discombobulated and have no idea what day it is.
terminator 2 is thirty. wtf. the liquid metal effects are still good, altho they're just starting to look a little dated. i read somewhere that when he was making the movie, robert patrick would walk like the t-1000 - that slinky liquid walk - in front of his wife and freak her out.
