so you know how i was offered actual full-time employment? turns out they need to post the job first. >.< (this is why i didn't stay at the libraries - they posted the job as required, and someone else gave a better interview and probably better job performance.) the hr person called me yesterday to tell me. they'll post the job, wait two weeks, and then give it to me. so my first day is officially in two weeks. >.< annoying but bureaucratic. i mean, it's a done deal, they just have to do some paperwork.
i had some leftover tahini sauce from my clover meal box and since i hate throwing food out but i didn't want to make salad dressing and the sauce by itself was a little too tangy for me, i made hummus. i think i over-chickpea'd because it's, uh, very thick. it's cumin-y, which i really like, but it's a lot more like peanutbutter than i was expecting. maybe it needs a little olive oil?
finished godless - it's only seven episodes - with a pretty fitting ending. a little bittersweet. i liked it. the whole show, not just the finale.
the periodic table of haiku - haiku for each of the elements. you gotta love the confluence of science and poetry.

modelo beer is making "go vote!" ads. they look and sound like all the other modelo ads, except they're encouraging people to vote. which is a little surprising but kind of cool, let's be honest.
