there's actually a nice breeze over my shoulder but otherwise SO HOT
my car is in the shop until sometime next week, so today i walked to the grocery store again, and because it was 89º and profoundly sunny when i left the house i brought... an umbrella. :D so i could bring the shade with me. on the way i met a very pretty golden retriever and his person, because he'd stopped so he could eat grass from someone's front yard. according to his person he has to stop there every time she takes him for a walk, so he can have some grass. such a pretty dog, but so weird.
still really enjoying babylon berlin. i like lotte a lot. kind of want to watch the old guard again. i blame tumblr. and the alienist is back! with the nice jewish forensic scientists, even. (the brothers. i just think they're so cute.) (also, you know, a little jewish rep is never a bad thing.)
six-year-old boy steps between little sister and lunging dog, gets bit in the face for his trouble. boy doesn't even want the dog that bit him to be put down. chris evans calls the boy a hero and promises to send him a captain america shield.
i am not qualified for this job and i reallly want it - as curator of the food timeline, which i freely admit i want partly because it comes with the late curator's 2300 reference books.
