today i:
had a nice chat with one of the women in my writing group, who published a chapbook of her poetry and came by to drop it off. i stood on my front porch and she stood in the driveway next door and we socially-distance chatted.
had a nice chat with the landlady's granddaughter who lives behind me, because she came back from somewhere as the friend from writing group was leaving, and asked if i had any good books she could borrow. (she reads a lot.) so of course i asked what she was into, and she said horror and scifi, and i went "...becky chambers!" so she now has the long way to a small, angry planet and record of a spaceborn few and the engines of this broken world - which
halfshellvenus should appreciate :D - because it's on the same shelf and i thought well, it's horror, kind of. and we talked about books and movies and tv (she's almost done with dark and recced another netflix show called the oa which i never heard of) and haunted asylums and it was just really nice. i'm not worried about her returning my books. i mean, i know where she lives. :D
socially-distance walked with
tamalinn and her tiny dog, friend a and her hubs, and friend r, because we were all off work and it was SO NICE OUT. SO, SO NICE. also pretty fab to be able to see people in person, masked and all. we saw a lot of dogs out, shocker.
sat on my ass a lot. very enjoyable. :D
watched a couple more episodes of dark and cannot figure out where it's going. i think i might have a vague clue what's going on, tho. i think. possibly.
i can really get into this four-day weekend thing. altho a three-day weekend would work too.
what's something you could say both during sex and as a useful edit to someone's manuscript? a twitter thread. read it and giggle.

day 6: a song that makes you want to dance - the muffs, kids in america
i mean, it's less "dancing" and more "bouncing around the house", but you know. i can get into some very vigorous chair dancing.
