oatmeal in a little free library is a little odd
there's a little free library down the street from me, and someone is stocking it with packs of instant oatmeal as well as books. weird but useful.
on my walk today (ACROSS THE BRIDGE OMG) i discovered that the coffeeshop with the scrambled egg and cheese bagel sandwiches is OPEN. only until two, but whatever, i can haul my butt out of bed on saturday for a BAGEL SANDWICH OMG.
look, it's the little things. omg. :D
i also met an older woman and her very sweet, very placid great dane. she was outside watering her lawn and the dog was keeping her company, and we ended up chatting for a while. and i got to pet a dog. :D i asked first. (there was a fence between us.) it was so nice to talk to someone in person who i'm not related to.
i changed something in my bang because it made sense at the time, and now i'm totally second-guessing myself and i want to change it back. >.< because i totally have time to do that. >.< ugh, self, get your shit together. on the plus side, i've seen some art in progress, and it looks really good.
on saturday i went for a socially distant walk with tamalinn and friend a and tamalinn's tiny dog, and it was SO NICE. partly because the weather was good and partly because, again, it's really nice to talk to someone in person i'm not related to. we saw a bunch of people - joggers and bikers and rollerbladers and the occasional dog - almost all of whom were masked. the tiny dog lost her tiny little mind at pretty much everything.
and then i went over to my sister's to eat dinner (jewish deli, and can i tell you how long it's been since i had pastrami?) and watch the good liar, in which ian mckellen is an elderly con man trying to con helen mirren out of her money. i kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, and then it kind of went somewhere i wasn't expecting. i don't actually know how i feel about it.
sunday was sunday. i zoom chatted with the fam and worked on my bang and tried not to panic.
a dog, a deer, and a playdate. so cute you will squee.
