snowflake challenge #1
every year i think "i should do the snowflake challenge!" and every year i don't. >.< so this year i'm going to, because i miss fandom.
(i went to a post-holiday holiday party tonight and had a conversation with a couple people about the magicians and supernatural and leverage, and it was SO NICE to be able to talk about tv i actually watch(ed). usually at family or other social gatherings i'm the only one who watches the shows i like, and everyone else is talking about tv i've never seen. i'm still trying to get my mom to watch the good place and, uh, killing eve.)
challenge #1 - introduce yourself!
so. hi. i'm tsuki-no-bara on lj and dw, tsukinobara on twitter (which i almost never use), and babbleismysuperpower on tumblr. because babble really is my superpower. :D you can call me cindy.
i'm an admin in the library system of a large local university, which job i got after my old job eliminated my position and then me. i didn't realize how much i didn't like about the old job until i had a new one. i like the new job. i like the people i work with. i'm currently a temp which i don't like, but they posted my job and i applied for it (that's just how they work, and both my manager and one of the lovely folks in hr have been very transparent about what's going on), and if the universe likes me i'll interview and get it, and then i'll be salaried and can get paid holidays and other time off.
i really miss paid holidays and other time off.
i like weird shit and old shit and tiny shit and hedgehogs and architecture and stories about cars. my one new year's resolution was to find a twenty-minute yoga routine i could do in the morning before work, and i... have not done that yet. i guess the alternate resolution would be to find a routine i can do after i get home, but i haven't done that yet either. i'm in a writing group that i love, altho i can't tell if it's made my writing any better. i do nano every year and bitch about it. i do spn-j2-bigbang every year and bitch about it. i'm going to learn cross stitch and probably bitch about it. i curl (the second half of the season is upon us!) and whine about it. occasionally i have strong opinions about things and they're not always nice ones.
also i should be in bed. but come say hi anyway. i only bite if you ask. :D
