i've been out of work for less than a month but it feels so much longer
my interview yesterday must have gone well, because i got a call from the employment agency this morning that they wanted to offer me the job. :D they had another couple of interviews lined up and canceled them. :D i said yes, because a. a place i want to work, b. a department that i think would be really cool to work in, and c. GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT. i start monday. :D i have no idea what to do with myself now, tho. i worked on my rbb a little bit this afternoon - i've hit the point where i need a bigger cast - and read the submission for writing group tomorrow (there's just one, which is odd because usually we have two). either tomorrow or friday i might see the kitchen, since it's showing at the theater near me.
like an hour after i GOT A JOB i got another call for an in-person interview for the job i don't want. heh. i felt kind of bad about saying "i was offered and took another job literally an hour ago", but, well. it felt kind of good too.
thank you all for the good wishes and crossed fingers and everything. looks like it worked. :D
still love good omens. kind of want to watch it again, or reread the book. (once i finish all clear, anyway.) or both!
there used to be a bagel bakers union in nyc, and it was powerful enough that when the bagel bakers went on strike, no one could get any bagels. and that was a PROBLEM, as you can imagine. mmm, bagels.
