well that was fun
so i had an actual job interview today, and i think it went ok! i met one of the admins. she talked, i talked, i learned about the job, etc. former coworker deb came down to meet me as i was leaving and gave me a tour of the first floor of the office, where some conference rooms and the kitchen are, and told me about the benefits and how much she loves working there. the admin i talked to is on vacation the rest of the week so i won't hear back until next monday at the earliest as to whether or not they want me to come in for a second interview. fingers crossed.
the other jobs that the employment agency was going to submit my resume for, they didn't send it in until today because the recruiter was out half of thursday and all of friday. it's (theoretically) with the client now so i'll call tomorrow to check up.
yesterday i did laundry and went to tower hill botanical gardens with tamalinn and her tiny dog and saw a bee.
the moss steps
the gardens had a restaurant but it was closed when we got there, so by the time we left we were STARVING. so we dropped the tiny dog off at my apartment and went out for bbq. :D yum.
saturday night i went to my sister's to watch crazy rich asians and order chinese food. she bought me dinner because a. unemployment, and b. she loves me. :D
and i saw this in the bookstore in harvard square:
simone biles is now the first gymnast ever to do a double flip, double twist dismount off the balance beam. she makes it look easy.
there's a bookbinding and papermaking collective in mexico made up of indigenous women that publishes books in tzotzil, the ancient language of the maya. it's the only group in mexico that does so.
