it's raining now so i think the heat broke
in all the joy over the anniversary of the moon landing and the exhaustion from the heat, i forgot to mention that killjoys is back! and everyone is still recognizably themselves, even if all their situations are different. i mean, johnny and d'avin are still bickering like brothers, even tho they don't know each other at all, and pree and gared are still a thing, even tho it's on the down-low because gared is engaged and can't tell his fiancee, and zeph is still weird, weirdly socialized, and figuring shit out. and dutch and johnny are profoundly mismatched as a romantic couple. and the lady is apparently terraforming westerly, because... why? for who? i thought she escaped the green at the end of the last season, so is she trying to terraform for herself?
i just could not with dutch's eyebrows, tho. too big and bushy.
i'm glad it's back.
so there's going to be a live-action cats movie, and i gotta say, the trailer is weird as hell. the cats just look wrong - too human but... furry. with cat ears. i don't think cgi was the way to go here. and there's going to be another top gun, which looks remarkably like the first one except tom cruise is old. and while i was watching previews i watched the one for the red sea diving resort in which it looks like chris evans plays a nice jewish boy. i think. i just can't with his hair. it's a netflix movie, and i don't have netflix, so someone else will have to see it when it comes out and share their opinion(s), so i know whether or not to use a trial membership on it. (well, that and s2 and s3 of stranger things. and the last couple episodes of luke cage s2. >.< )
yesterday was the same as saturday, in that i spent most of the day going from a/c to a/c.
to be fair, this was after my car had been sitting in the grocery store parking lot, but still, what the hell.
there's a world championship of pogo. as in pogo sticks. *boing boing boing* it's going to be in pittsburgh this weekend.
