What I just finished reading:
wet moon vol 7, written and drawn by sophie campbell, and it's weird how her style evolved between just vol 6 and vol 7. her art's still recognizably hers, but you can definitely see a difference. several years passed between books and she drew other stuff in the intervening years, so it makes sense that her art would change a little, it was just really noticeable.
the main pov character (cleo) and her best friend (trilby) have a "let's not keep secrets from each other" talk, and they each discover that the other writes fanfic. trilby writes trek fic, and cleo writes smutty harry potter fic. so of course cleo writes trilby st:tng smut for christmas. it's super cute.
i've also read a fairly significant amount of urban fantasy (ya and adult) for writing group. this is good and bad, altho since it's not published i don't know how much it counts.
What I am reading now:
still quicksilver, and i'm deep into historical bits and spycraft and it's kind of a slog. but i want to know what happens! so i have to finish it.
What I'm going to read next:
the beatrix gates came and it's very short, so maybe that. seriously, the second two answers haven't changed at all from the last time i did this.
my alarm clock battery was dying and i learned this when the alarm woke me up forty-five minutes late this morning. >.< i was washed and dressed and out of the house in thirteen minutes, altho without breakfast or lunch, and only twenty minutes late for work. oy, tho.
forgot to mention in my last post that i saw the new teasers for avengers: endgame (i'm not emotionally prepared for this movie) and captain marvel (i guess i liked it? it was short and didn't say much), and on monday when i was waiting for the t home there was a person on the platform wearing
deadpool pajama bottoms. sometimes i really like people.
the season finale of criminal minds was on tonight (already?) and at the end they threw in an entirely unnecessary and stupid relationship wrinkle that made me roll my eyes. ugh, really? also there was a lot going on on the magicians, but no stupid plot wrinkles, just the occasional moment when i thought "did you cut something from this scene, and should there be more?" i liked it overall, but the ptb packed a lot into an hour.
i entirely randomly found a friend from high school on twitter (her twitter name is her real name, which made it easy) and am debating whether or not to dm her. what would i say? "hi, it's cindy from high school, i saw your comment on a stranger's thread, it's been literal decades, how are you?"
has anyone been to hawaii? (besides
justphoenix. :D ) where did you go? where did you stay? what would you recommend? what would you not recommend? tell me everything.
