it is indeed a remake of the one with barb and kris! at least i think it's more a remake of that version than the two versions before it. i want to see the 1970s version.

Out of the nowhere and into the here. MARY POPPINS isn't a remake, it's one of the other books in the series. And Lin Manuel Miranda is Bert, so I'm kind of basically there just for that. And I too love reading your fic!

i think i was just thrown by the fact that the new mary poppins looks so much like the first one, with the flying and the magic and the animation and the dick van dyke. (i didn't know he was still alive, so that was kind of a surprise.) i didn't know the movies were based on a book series! and you will probably not be the only person who wants to see it for lmm. :D
