i would say that makes you-well read. :D not knowing about messianic jews doesn't make you ignorant, tho - i think they're enough of a fringe that a lot of people don't really know where they fit along the monotheist spectrum.
thingy hinton! hee. she's apparently written spn fic, and i'm DYING to know where/if she posted it, and what it's about. the outsiders loomed large in lots of american girls' early teenagerhood.

btw- did you see the Timeless news? It'll be back for a two-part series finale (which I assume means two hour movie kind of thing) at some, yet to be determined point. So, with any luck, Rufus will be saved!

i saw that! i really hope it means they manage to save rufus, because i was so annoyed the show ended on that cliffhanger. the actor is on preacher now and it's SO WEIRD.

I read the Outsiders frequently when I was a teen, and the slashiness was pretty damn obvious to me in the book. Plus, it was brothercest, at least the part I noticed. Ponyboy for freakin' ever, man. Whoo!

i don't remember the book being even remotely slashy when i read it, but i was like thirteen and wasn't aware of slash as a thing yet. it's amazing the shit we do and don't pick up on when we're kids, that we recognize as adults.
