happy (late >.< ) birthday
nomercles! here's to cake. and glitter. and more cake. the glitter's edible. :D
dancing boys: *bunny hop*
my curling team finally lost. sigh. it was a close game, tho, and speaking only for myself, i made some crap shots. but it was fun, and at least i got some exercise.
yesterday i helped
tamalinn run errands (and i got to be moral support and a second opinion at a frame store) and then went into boston proper to see kali wallace - aka
@kaliphyte, aka
ignipes - and adriana mather, who i don't know, promote their new books. said books are kinda spooky, so it was even seasonally appropriate. :D (there was supposed to be a third author, sm parker, but she was sick.) they talked about writing and research and their books and afterwards i just stayed there and hung out with them, plus adriana's mom plus another author who lives in greater boston plus someone else whose relationship to anyone else i don't know. writers are fun people to hang out with, and even tho i know kali from spn fandom, there was almost no fannish discussion. kali's book is the memory trees, and since i really liked her first one - shallow graves, which is nicely creepy and disturbing but not keep-me-awake scary - i expect to like this one too.
i got home late, tho.
since i mentioned richard spencer speaking at the u of florida, it's only fair i share video of
the audience yelling "fuck you". heh. apparently someone asked him what it was like to be punched in the face on camera.
all the world will be your enemy, prince with a thousand enemies.
in the news of the weird,
someone's abandoning cucumbers in a town in the uk. please tell me this is a true thing, because how silly and bizarre.
i am grout. because don't we all need a random pun in our lives?
