today tamalinn and i went to the museum of fine arts for some culture. we wandered through the egyptian and greek and roman rooms, and then through a lot of american art. oh, and we saw some very fancy harpsichords and some really nice ancient jewelry, and an exhibit of art by robert mccloskey, including original art for make way for ducklings. (which if you never read as a small child, or had read to you, i highly recommend. and not just because it takes place in boston. :D mccloskey bought a bunch of ducks and installed them in his apartment in greenwich village so he could draw them more accurately.) pictures to follow when i get them off my phone.

we found three separate gift shops. what the hell, mfa. then we had dinner (italian food, yum) and went home and i went to the grocery store. i tried and totally failed to pimp the tiny show, but telling tamalinn how i keep watching the updates at work, even tho i'm at work, because i need to know what's happening, might not have been the best idea. she can't watch at work. altho theoretically i probably can't either. but whatever, we're on the last episode. i am still not a fabulous pimp. mediocre, self.

yesterday my local comic shop had an unexpected signing by a couple of local artists, and i bought some comics from one of them - olivia li - because she draws a gorgon single mom and her six kids - ie, her hair :D - and the snakes are SO FUCKING CUTE. and sometimes i'm really easy when it comes to snakes.

i entirely randomly acquired a rogue one t-shirt - nissan is running some promotion with the movie, apparently because they have a car called the rogue - all i had to do was let a guy take my picture and then i was supposed to share it on social media. it's not a great picture - my hair is flat - so i'm probably not going to share. but i got a t-shirt! it says rogue one across the front, natch, and also "nissan" because, well, promotion. pity it will be too cold to wear it when i actually see the movie.

10:40 at night isn't too late to take one's laundry to the laundromat, is it? because i did last night, because otherwise i was going to run out of clean undies. there is surprisingly no one in the laundromat at 10:40 on a saturday night. i read my comics. and now i have clean undies and socks.

i happen to like cilantro, but this guy does not.

cilantro, snakes, fun with friends, culture, star wars, comics, tiny show
