not enough cheese
today is the national park service's 100th birthday. happy birthday, national parks.
why yes, i did post just so i could say that. :D check out some parks from space. because space.
last night tamalinn convinced me to go out for a beer and food. beer was good, company was good, grilled cheese was, uh, well, let me just say that a grilled cheese sandwich isn't the best use of your texas toast. not unless you have an equivalently thick layer of cheese, which my sandwich didn't. cheese was nice and melty, but the cheese:bread ratio was way off. the parmesan fries and fried pickles were appropriately fried, at least.
however. all that dinner was kind of a mistake. note to self: next time, maybe get the salad instead of the fries. (it was arugula with tomatoes. things i like!)
speaking of space, because we kind of were, a planet was discovered in the habitable zone of its star - proxima centauri, the closest star to us. the planet is a mere four light years away, so we could theoretically send little space probes to check it out.
