one bang down, lots of other stuff to go
What I just finished reading:
heir of sea and fire, which i enjoyed a lot altho the cover art and blurb on the back are kind of misleading, in that they reference events at the end of the book as if they happen much earlier. but the book can basically be described as "girls get shit done", and i am totally down with that.
What I am reading now:
harpist in the wind, which is less "girls get shit done" and more "i was more invested when we were inside raederle's head". i don't remember any of this one, which means i don't remember how it ends, which means i'll hopefully be surprised. surprise is good.
What I'm going to read next:
the next big one, by derek des anges aka apiphile. a contemporary novel about a virus, for a change.
so i posted my bigbang (yay!) and have even gotten a couple of nice comments! and the first comment was not "is there a pdf/is it going on ao3"! (there's a pdf now and i'll post the fic to ao3 after bang season is over. so, august.) i decided at about 9:30 last night that i really needed a post o' pics, and it took long enough to do that i went to bed at almost three. >.< i am by and large pleased with the fic, and a lot of it was fun to write, and i just hope people enjoy it. well, i hope they read it....
now i can start thinking about nano! and next year's bang! and stuff that isn't either! it's my turn to submit something for writing group, for one thing, and so far i got nothin'. but that's what the weekend is for. :D
the weekend is also for sleeping late and buying a new laundry bag, but whatever.
it's a bird! it's a plane! it's super-bun! among other buns.
sandra lawson is black, lesbian, vegan, and a rabbinical student. that is so fucking cool. (she converted, which is even cooler.)

a rocket coffee table! by which i mean, a glass tabletop balanced on retro-looking rocketships! so far out of my price range it isn't funny, but if i had the bucks and the space i would totally buy this.
speaking of space, have some galaxy doughnuts. little bits of outer space on your baked goods.
i'm reading news about brexit as it appears on twitter and i'm so nervous for the uk.
