happy easter to them what celebrate it, and to them what don't, a very lovely sunday. :D it's definitely a lovely sunny day out here.
stigmata cookies - i think they're cute - also tasty-looking - but i apologize in advance to anyone i might have offended.
yesterday i saw the bronze with
tamalinn and it was better than i was expecting. it wasn't a great movie, but it was funny in parts and a little touching in parts and the up-and-coming gymnast was fucking adorable, and sebastian stan was of course hot as hell but played a total asshole. but he was a very convincing total asshole. the sex scene was as promised athletically and gymnastically ott and i'm super impressed that sebstan did most of it himself. there's one bit they had to get a stunt gymnast for, but otherwise, pretty much all that leaping and rolling and leg stretching and etc is all him.
also, his hair looked really good. it was short. ^_^
this morning i made a quiche so now my house smells faintly of fried onions. (yum.) and in ten minutes i need to leave for my parents' house. what weird shit will we find in the basement today? last week i found my prom picture. with my hair and my shoes i was taller than my date. he was a nice jewish boy and between the time i asked him and the time he said yes, i decided i didn't really want to go to the prom after all. >.< (a bunch of my friends weren't going, and i knew i'd have a fun time with them.) i went anyway and had a nice time. it helped that my date and i went as friends, because i think a year later we were the only couple out of the people i went with who were still talking to each other.
refresh for a random color.
friday was the anniversary of the triangle shirtwaist factory fire, which killed 146 people, mostly women, mostly italian and eastern european immigrants. that's one of the reasons we have better labor laws and building codes than we had a hundred years ago. the building now belongs to nyu, and the public safety officer who works in the building
has become kind of an amateur historian of the fire.
beverly clearly is almost a hundred years old! holy crapsticks. i loved the mouse and the motorcycle.
