happy birthday clyde tombaugh, discoverer of pluto. when new horizons made its historical pluto fly-by this past summer, it was carrying some of clyde's ashes. (he died in 1997.) i love that.

florida cop responds to call at animal shelter, walks out with puppy. the dangers of walking into an animal shelter when you're already a pet person. the cop named the puppy kylo, because he already has a dog named... vader. nerdy dog people are the best dog people.
it's supposed to snow tonight or tomorrow morning and somerville in its infinite wisdom has declared a snow emergency and already closed the schools. i didn't think we were supposed to get that much snow. surprise? we'll see how much i have to shovel when i get home.
i'm watching this means war which is a dumb movie and borderline offensive, but... tom hardy. and chris pine. but mostly tom hardy. i'm so easy. i hang my head.
