my washing machine has died a death. it's not worth it for me to try and replace it, so i am now among the laundromat-dependent. which sucks, but i'll live. if nothing else, i'll be able to use washing machines i can fill all the way.
i am just out of fucks to give.
in other news, i've started thinking about next year's bigbang, which is kind of fun but mostly frustrating because i keep feeling as if i've told the story before. and i've seen some art for this year's bang, which is genuinely exciting.
watch a hundred years of cocktails in two minutes. speaking of my bigbang. i'm amused that there's a cocktail for 1925, considering that was smack in the middle of prohibition. it's not bathtub gin, either.
100 years of beauty goes to india - and holy crap are those earrings gorgeous. also the 60s eyeliner. and the beehive! the beehive is pretty fabulous.
a couple of academic brits researching the history of tea in the uk discovered
what might be the oldest tea leaves in the country. they weren't allowed to brew their discovery, but at least they got to smell it. it's over three hundred years old. which, wow.
