i think i broke the washing machine. >.< tamalinn went home today and i was washing the sheets from the air mattress, and the washing machine just... wouldn't spin. it filled up, it agitated, it stopped before it could rinse or spin. i took the sheets out and rinsed them in the shower and put them in the dryer and because i didn't want to leave all that water in the machine and because i don't know how to get it to drain, i bailed it out with an empty yogurt container (a big one) and a plastic tub. so now the sheets are in the dryer and there's a couple inches of water in the bottom of the washing machine that i couldn't get out, and at some point i'll have to call the landlady's son who lives behind me and ask him what i did and if i did indeed break the thing. and if i did break it, which is always possible, i'll have to find a laundromat to do my laundry. but i really hope i didn't break it.

(i was told when i moved in to only fill the washing machine halfway, or it wouldn't spin. this is not the first time i've washed two twin sheets and a pillowcase. usually it works.)

today would've been sally ride's 64th birthday. google animated some doodles in her honor.

make your own gummy lego bricks. you can even build with them. there's something to be said for lego bricks you can eat.
