check out some really nice callot soeurs dresses that survived by being packed in trunks and forgotten. (the callot sisters made swanky haute couture from the end of the 19th century to the nineteen-thirties. their clothes don't tend to survive almost a hundred years.)

for the knitters among you, a pattern for lamb shoes! as in, white shoes with little lamb faces and ears. SO CUTE.

if frodo and sam had had googlemaps, their trip to mordor might have been shorter. there's an eagle option - "literally so much faster" - and trip times with and without orcs.
does anyone here play skyrim? because a woman made this really fabulous cosplay for her daughter, and someone out there has to be able to appreciate it from a player standpoint. altho everyone should be able to appreciate an adorable little girl in a horned helmet.

florida sheriff's deputy responds to a call about a pitbull running loose and makes a new four-legged friend. after "sufficient play time and fun", the deputy took the dog home. all together now - awwww.
the best pocket bible ever. there's only one commandment, but it's a good one.
i have one thing to say about last night's vikings. ATHELSTAN. WHAT THE HELL. ragnar buried him as close to his god as he could, with a cross to mark the grave. because ragnar loved him. but just wait until floki finds out ragnar kept athelstan's crucifix.
what's ecbert's end game with claiming that judith's (and athelstan's...) baby is blessed and special? because ecbert has to have some personal motivation there.
there's a rerun of law & order: criminal intent on right now, coincidentally guest-starring katheryn winnick in a very un-lagertha-like role. also, she has very boring hair. i love the womens' crazy hair on vikings, have i mentioned?
