i made muffins tonight to use my blueberries before they got weird and wrinkly, and they're kind of spongy. maybe my baking powder is expired? or i overbaked them. taste-wise they're fine. they're just texturally odd. i still want to keep eating them, tho. i mean, blueberry muffins! what's not to love?
sleepy hollow liveblog! on account of it's the season finale.
is it wrong that i find the loading of a revolutionary-era rifle to be incredibly sexy? the powder, the little ball, the tamping everything down, the whole thing. because seriously, watching ichabod load and prime his rifle is hot.
i also approve of his hat and ponytail. i didn't dislike his hair loose, but i really love the ponytail.
what kind of weird butterfly effect time travel paradox did abbie just accomplish, by virtue of not letting ichabod die?
i might be wrong, because it's been a long time since i was learning any revolutionary war history, but i'm pretty sure there were free black folks in new york in 1781, and a random black woman walking around by herself wouldn't automatically be a runaway slave.
is franklin going to answer the door naked? oh thank god, no. and he likes abbie! and has absolutely no problem believing that she's from the future. i like him.
and now he's dead! O.O poor franklin. (and poor ichabod, i guess, because he was close to franklin and now franklin's dead, and ichabod's pissed at abbie. and if ichabod is pissed at abbie, ichabod isn't listening to abbie, and if ichabod doesn't listen to her bad shit will happen.) they really fucked with the space-time continuum, didn't they.
that's a very suspicious book on the table in the crane house, isn't it. and ichabod is suspicious of his wife. because abbie made him question her.
the password on abbie's phone is ichabod's birthday! and she has a bunch of photos and video of the two of them! how cute is that? that is so cute.
ichabod shows up to save abbie, and... she doesn't actually need saving. the show in a nutshell. :D now she just needs an occasion to rescue him, and we'll be all set.
i feel kind of bad for him, tho, finding out his wife is evil. and man, i wish the ptb had given katrina something to do earlier in the season. i'm kind of annoyed they waited until the last two episodes to actually make her important to the plot, altho at the same time, thank god she's finally got stuff to do.
a hug! awww. ichabod looks so uncomfortable and abbie looks so short! is nicole beharie that tiny, or is tom mison that tall?
...i was not expecting that. i'm not 100% sure i'm going to miss katrina - seriously, she was always more the potential for a character than she was an actual person - but i don't especially love that ichabod felt he had to kill her. altho he did it to save abbie.
so henry's gone - is headless gone? i should know this - katrina's gone, moloch's gone, frank is resouled, so now what? is there a horseman we haven't met yet? that was weirdly anticlimactic for a season finale, and aside from the time travel, very low on batshit. i liked the 1781 stuff, tho.
cthulhu-inspired engagement ring - elegant and tentacular!
